This 2-week program is organized by the Kyoto City Government and the Consortium of Universities in Kyoto for overseas students to gain first-hand experience of studying in Japan, and a number of lecturs, campus visits, cultural programs and field trips, including interaction with local students are offered for participants. This is an excellent introduction to Japanese society and culture, especially for those who are thinking to study long term in Japan in the near future.

Participants : High school students, undergraduate, graduate level of university students

Evaluation : Participants will be graded on
・In-class activities - Attendance (20%)
・Class report - Daily reports (40%)
・Final presentation (40%)
Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Please note that there is no scholarship for this program,
but it's a very reasonable price with the support from Kyoto City Government.

Single occupancy room at the Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, a popular choice amongst international tourists located in the center of Kyoto, is offered for each participant during the whole program. Breakfast is included.
